BRIC DI FIÙ — PARTIALLY FERMENTED WHITE MUST

BRIC DI FIÙ — PARTIALLY FERMENTED WHITE MUST

Moasca Moscato in its most authentic and joyful expression: partially fermented must, sweet, aromatic and very light. Festive, immediate and irresistible.

  • Features

    Colour

Bric di Fiù has a brilliant pale yellow colour with delicate golden reflections and a light natural effervescence, giving it a bright and inviting appearance in the glass.

    Aroma

The bouquet is intense, aromatic and wonderfully fragrant. Notes of white peach, apricot, sage, orange blossom and elderflower are complemented by delicate hints of honey, citrus and fresh Moscato grapes. The result is exuberant, expressive and immediately captivating.

    Taste

On the palate, the wine is sweet, very fresh and gently sparkling. The natural aromatic character of Moscato is balanced by vibrant acidity, creating a light and highly enjoyable style. Fine bubbles and a low alcohol content of just 5% ABV make it soft, refreshing and exceptionally easy to drink, with a harmonious, fruity and clean finish.

    Food Pairing

Bric di Fiù is ideal as a festive aperitif and pairs beautifully with dry pastries, crostate, fruit cakes, panettone, colomba and traditional Piedmontese desserts. It can also be enjoyed throughout a meal alongside sweetly spiced Asian or other ethnic dishes.

    Serving Temperature

    Serve well chilled between 6–8°C.

    Appellation and Origin

This wine is classified as a Partially Fermented White Must and is produced in Moasca, Asti.

    Grape Variety

It is made from 100% Moscato Bianco, giving it its distinctive floral, fruity and aromatic character.

    Alcohol Content

The wine has a low alcohol content of 5% ABV, making it light, refreshing and ideal for relaxed occasions.

    Vineyard

The vineyards have a south-westerly aspect, helping the grapes achieve excellent ripeness while preserving freshness and aromatic intensity.

    Harvest

The grapes are hand harvested in late August or early September.

    Soil

The vines grow in calcareous clay soils with a significant sandy component, contributing freshness, fragrance and balance to the finished wine.

    Sweetness

Bric di Fiù has a naturally high level of residual sugar, giving it its sweet and indulgent style.

    Best Enjoyed

For the freshest and most expressive drinking experience, it is best enjoyed during the same season in which it is bottled.

    Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed immediately. The must is rapidly chilled to stop spontaneous fermentation and then stored in refrigerated tanks at approximately 0°C until bottling.

    Fermentation and Bottling

A few weeks before bottling, fermentation is started using selected yeasts. Once the wine reaches approximately 5% ABV, fermentation is stopped through rapid cooling. It is then bottled under pressure to preserve its natural bubbles, aromatic freshness and vibrant fruit character.
